Honourable Imam Ali (PBUH) continuously advised people to respect teachers and always pointed their significance and value of teachers. He (PBUH) did so to the extent that with himself being an endless ocean of knowledge he used to say,
I will be the servant of one who teaches me one word until the end of my life.
Honourable Imam Ali (PBUH)
Pakistan and Islam; we’re living in a country which was gained independence from those who were trying to rule through their power and was trying to make us refugees. But we had the pool of teachers who started the movement against these type of rulers and elites.
Islam always taught the respect of teacher for their being the first brick in the structure of social and welfare development, community supportive development and perfection and the cause of guiding and developing behaviours and mentalities of individuals & communities.
Pakistan’s constitution 1973 gave respect to teachers.
Peoples are acquiring the good traits, social traits, sound trends, and virtuous behaviour; only teachers are examples.
In respect of teachers, Honourable Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (PBUH) said,
The right of your instructor is dignifying him and committing to solemnity in their classes and good listening and attending. You should provide for your instructor with mental presence and conceptual attendance and heart retaining and sight propinquity. The way of all these is laxness of desires and confine of lusts. You must understand that you are the emissary of what you have been received to the ignorant you may meet. Then, you should convey properly and never breach the mission if you should perform.
Honourable Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (PBUH)
A teacher is not a designation, the teacher is the words which always need a respect. All superiors and respectable peoples say golden words which have been definitely suffocated with teachers’ rights that bring about the nation’s guidance in behaviour and morals.
But; in Pakistan. We pay the high-quality respect to our teachers. There are multiple examples of respect some are names are Prof. Syed Sibt-e-Jaffar Zaidi, Prof. Dr. Shakeel Auj, Prof. Waheed-ud-Deen (Yasir Rizvi), Prof. Taqi Hadi, Allama Agha Aftab Haider, and Prof. Dr. Hassan Zafar Arif. Yes, we respect them; some are questioning how, yes we respect them through killing them on roads.
The teachers in Pakistan not only killed on roads but also abducted illegally and tortured without any proved allegations. Marytred honourable Prof. Dr. Hassan Zafar Arif and honourable Salman Haider are the exemplary which gained these kinds of respect from our authorized elite rulers.
The question always raised, what is our responsibility when society didn’t pay the respect towards the professors and teachers? Where are those law implementors?
Taliban and all these kind of groups, those are always pretending to fought for implementing Islamic laws and Shariya in all over the country are also killers of these renowned professors and teachers.
Liberals, what the fucking title. Always beat teachers in class if teacher punished them in class, called them liberals and work as illiterate peoples; these people are also in schools, colleges and universities too.
Just think what respect we are paying to our teachers, and what is the level of respect teachers and professors needs to gain from our society. Just think what society gives them and what is your role in this society.
Haider Rizvi
